As a major station with lots of travellers, King’s Cross is well-equipped with a variety of amenities. There is an array of supermarkets—like Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Co-op, M&S, and Waitrose—, plenty of pubs and small shopping spots around Pancras Square, which all close a bit late. And for late-night hunger, you’re in luck! as McDonald's is open round the clock to satisfy your cravings.
Additionally, there's an intriguing spot known as "Coal Drops Yard" where lively retails, a variety of stores, eateries, coffee shops, and cultural venues feature together. Click here to explore more about Coal Drops Yard. 🛍️👀
Accommodations :
Accommodations in King's Cross are mainly flat-shared or rented rooms, ranging from Studios 1 to 3-Bedroom. From here, you can walk to the main campus at Bloomsbury within 10-20 minutes or take the tube only 1 stop to Euston or Euston Square. Alternatively, a 10-15 minutes bus ride is also an option.
Student accommodations in King's Cross are right in the heart of convenience and modernity, but that also means they come with a higher price tag. These include Urbanest, Chapter, Victoria Hall, The Stay Club Camden, and UNITE Student.
Duration of travel :
It takes around 18-35 minutes by bus and tube, or around 24-40 minutes on foot to reach UCL Bloomsbury campus. For the UCL East campus, it's about 34 minutes to around 1 hour by bus and tube. The duration depends on the accommodations and way of travelling.

Apart from Holloway, there are other options a bit farther from UCL, but still favoured by many students. These include Kilburn, Canary Wharf, Hammersmith, Edgware Road, Walthamstow, Kentish Town, and more.
Remark! UCL's Hall of Residence or student dorms
While UCL's student dorms do exist, they might not be the most popular choice. This is mainly because the room’s condition and the number of available spaces is limited.
However, staying in the university's halls has its perks, you don't need to worry about various contract conditions, and you can be assured that your fellow residents are UCL students. Some halls even provide breakfast! One thing to note is that the hall doesn't need to be very close to the university within walking distance.🙅🏻
